I am studying stability and was asked the question today during a practise board what the difference between list and loll was. Needless to say, I WAS WRONG today!! I know a list is a transverse incliniation caused by uneven weight distribution. Loll occurs when G is above M and a ship will tend 'to hang' at some degree of heel possibly flopping port to stbd. Is this clear or is there something clearer out there!!
