Dear All,
I need a favour how to make PMS=Plan Maintenance Scheeme Deck&Engine for our vessel(ferry),is there anybody can give me sample one.

Hi Toni, the basic form involves a spreadsheet. Set up the maker's recommended running hour for maintenance or based on usage experience in one row and the items to be maintained in the other column. Do separate files for deck and engine.

Update the files when work is done with remarks on spare/stores used, etc.

In practice, there is no testing kit for this relief valve unless we fabricate one onboard.

What we do is to dismantle the valve and measure the uncompressed spring's length against that of new spring. If within tolerance, we assemble back to the same compressed length.

There many design of pressure relief valves its safer and better first to read and follow manufactures service manual procedures.

PMS stands for Plan Maintenance System
